Bob has lived on Gabriola Island for the past 22 years. He worked as a publisher for a weekly newspaper before spending the next two decades managing an organic hobby farm on the island. He currently runs his own handy man business, Renaissance Man, on Gabriola Island.

Judy has spent the last three decades working in sport and currently works for the BC Games Society as an Event Manager. She was a member of Team Canada's communication team at five Paralympic Games (Sydney, Australia; Salt Lake City, USA; Athens, Greece; Beijing, China and London, England), managed Canada's women's soccer team and continues to volunteer in the amateur sport industry. She has lived on Gabriola Island for 17 years.
