Towns Canada grew from the imagination of Ron Mac Quarrie and Lance Boivert in the early 1990's. Lance was a partner in a graphics company that created illustrated maps of towns with advertising and the items where distributed to the businesses that participated in the project. The internet was in it's infancy and the idea was born to bring that advertising solution to the web.
After many barstool meetings, drawings on napkins and discussing the idea with local business owners. The idea was attempted a few times, leaving behind a bunch of renditions of the idea. Today, we have what we believe is the answer... Towns Canada.
Towns Canada's mission is to bring Canada's vast expanse together into a single application where people can find what they are looking for quickly and easily. Giving members the ability to share content such as, stories, business reviews, points of interest, create personal galleries and bucket lists of places to visit.
