Bob has lived on Gabriola Island for the past 22 years. He worked as a publisher for a weekly newspaper before spending the next two decades managing an organic hobby farm on the island. He currently runs his own handy man business, Renaissance Man, on Gabriola Island .

Judy has spent the last three decades working in sport and currently works for the BC Games Society as an Event Manager. She was a member of Team Canada's communication team at five Paralympic Games (Sydney, Australia; Salt Lake City, USA; Athens, Greece; Beijing, China and London, England), managed Canada's women's soccer team and continues to volunteer in the amateur sport industry. She has lived on Gabriola Island for 17 years.
